Itinerary: 

Day 1: Arrival and The Gateway to the Himalayas

  • Morning (7:00 AM): Depart from Dhaka. The fastest way to maximize your sightseeing time is by taking an early morning domestic flight from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) to Saidpur Airport (SPD).

  • Late Morning (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM): Arrive at Saidpur Airport. A private car will be waiting to transfer you to Panchagarh (approx. 1.5 - 2 hours' drive).

  • Afternoon (1:00 PM): Arrive in Panchagarh and check into your hotel. Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Afternoon (2:30 PM): Begin your tour by driving to Tetulia, the northernmost point of Bangladesh. Visit the historic Tetulia Dak Bungalow, a colonial-era rest house. The bungalow offers a majestic view of the Mahananda River and the hills of India.

  • Late Afternoon (4:00 PM): Head to the nearby Banglabandha Land Port, the major border crossing with India, Nepal, and Bhutan. Here, you can witness the bustling trade activity and stand at the "Zero Point."

  • Evening (5:00 PM): As the sun begins to set, take a final moment to enjoy the tranquil scenery of Tetulia. If the sky is clear, you may catch the stunning view of Mount Kanchenjunga bathed in golden light.

  • Dinner & Overnight: Drive back to Panchagarh town for dinner and a restful night at your hotel.

Day 2: Tea Gardens, History, and Departure

  • Early Morning (8:00 AM): After breakfast, check out from your hotel. The day begins with a visit to one of Panchagarh’s renowned flat-land tea gardens, such as Kazi & Kazi Tea Estate. Walk through the lush green fields and witness the harvesting of tea leaves.

  • Morning (10:00 AM): Explore the region's cultural heritage by visiting the unique Panchagarh Rocks Museum at the Government Women's College campus. The museum features a fascinating collection of stones, fossils, and historical artifacts.

  • Late Morning (11:30 AM): Visit the magnificent Mirzapur Shahi Mosque, a beautiful example of Mughal architecture. Marvel at its intricate design and serene atmosphere.

  • Afternoon (2:00 PM): Visit Maharaja Dighi, a large historical pond surrounded by serene greenery.

  • Late Afternoon (4:00 PM): Have a final lunch in Panchagarh town, and enjoy some time to shop for local souvenirs.

  • Evening (7:00 PM): Your guide will transfer you to the Panchagarh railway station for your train journey back to Dhaka.
