Itinerary:
Day 1: Journey to Barisal and City Exploration
Morning (7:00 AM - 8:00 AM): Depart from Dhaka. You have two primary options for daytime travel: a comfortable bus journey (6-7 hours) or a quick domestic flight (approx. 45-60 minutes). A morning flight is the most efficient way to maximize your time in Barisal.
Late Morning (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM): Arrive in Barisal. A local guide will meet you at the airport or bus station and transfer you to your hotel for check-in and some time to freshen up.
Afternoon (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM): Begin your tour by exploring the main city. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant to taste authentic Barisali cuisine. Afterward, visit historical landmarks such as the elegant Oxford Mission Church and the serene Bibir Pukur (a large pond in the city center).
Evening (5:30 PM - 7:00 PM): Head to the Barisal River Port (Sadarghat) to witness the lively atmosphere as ferries and launches prepare for their overnight journeys. It's an excellent place for photography and to observe the pulse of river life.

Day 2: Backwaters and Floating Market

Day 3: History and Departure
Morning (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM): Check out from your hotel. Your tour will continue with visits to historical zamindar (landlord) mansions, such as the grand Lakutia Zamindar Bari and Kirtipasha Zamindar Bari. These abandoned palaces offer a glimpse into the region's aristocratic past.
